What will you build?

Communities and organizations across Alberta have until September 17 to apply for the Alberta Blue Cross Built Together grant program.

The grant awards $50,000 each to a community or organization in Edmonton, Calgary, a secondary city, a rural community and an Indigenous community. Funding can be used to build outdoor gyms, playgrounds, walking trails, skating rinks and more. Alberta Blue Cross encourages community leagues, school councils, municipalities and other non-profits across the province to apply for the Built Together grant though the Alberta Blue Cross community website.

“As a champion for wellness, Alberta Blue Cross is keen to support community projects that promote active living for Albertans,” says Brian Geislinger, senior vice-president of Corporate Relations and Community Engagement with Alberta Blue Cross. “We’ve supported upwards of 50 diverse projects across the province over the last 11 years of this program, and we’re excited to see the applications that come forward this year.”

Funding for Built Together comes from the Alberta Blue Cross community foundation, and applications are evaluated by a panel of experts. Applications are open until September 17. Learn more about the program or apply now through the Alberta Blue Cross community website.
