If you know an Albertan who’s a champion for wellness—or that’s you—Alberta Blue Cross® is calling on you to apply today for the 2025 Faces of Wellness program.
“Everyone knows someone in their community who is a face of wellness, whether that’s making positive lifestyle changes toward becoming healthier, promoting a health-related cause, making the most of life while living with a chronic condition, advocating for wellness in their workplace, standing up for mental health or acting as a role model for others,” says Brian Geislinger, senior vice-president of Corporate Relations and Community Engagement with Alberta Blue Cross®. “We want to share these stories so, whether that’s you or someone you know, we urge you to apply.”
The deadline for the 2025 Faces of Wellness program has been extended to October 30, and this year nominees will have a chance to win 1 of 11 amazing wellness-related prizes, including the grand prize of a weekend away in the Alberta Rockies. Applying and nominating can be done through the Alberta Blue Cross® website.
The grand prize recipient of the 2024 Faces of Wellness program was Zachary Weeks. Born with cerebral palsy, Zachary is a committed advocate for disability rights and social justice, using his platform to fight ableism and raise awareness about accessibility. Zachary’s passion and deep commitment to the community truly make him a champion for wellness.
This the fifth year of the Faces of Wellness program. Since 2021, there have been more than 1,000 applications and nominations from Albertans sharing many diverse and inspiring journeys of wellness.
Program recipients will be announced in December. To enter, learn more and read about past recipients and honourees, visit facesofwellness.ca.
